How do I join a team?
Tryouts are held each May. Visit the tryouts page for more information. If you missed tryouts but are still interested in joining a team, contact the coach for the appropriate team, or submit a Player Interest Form. If a coach has reached out to you to register for a 2024-2025 team, more information on how to Register your player can be found here.

Is this a recreational or competitive program?
Chehalem Valley Soccer Club offers competitive programs for players who wish to gain technical skills, increase their soccer knowledge, and achieve a higher level of play.
Do players have to live in Newberg to participate?
No. In addition to Newberg, players come from many surrounding areas, including Dundee, Dayton, Lafayette, Carton, Yamhill, McMinnville, and Sherwood.
What ages does the club serve?

Where are games and practices held?
Practices are generally held at a variety of locations in or near Newberg. Home games are played on the turf field at Newberg High School. Away games can be located in the Portland Metro area for younger age groups, and older age groups may periodically travel to more distant locations such as Vancouver, Eugene, and Bend. See the Overview page for more details about specific age groups.
What teams do Chehalem Valley Soccer Club teams play against?
CVSC teams play teams from clubs in other communities around Oregon and SW Washington.
What is the time commitment?

How much playing time to players get?
As this is a competitive club, playing time is decided by each team’s coaches. Please take a look at the player handbook for more information.
How much does club soccer cost?
Based on age, there are two tiers of fees. Then, within those age tiers there are different fees for players on the active roster and for practice players. There are also fees for uniforms. Please visit the Overview page for more information.
